New Germany based label Caldera records lauches this month with their first release, which is the latest score by Guy Farley - SECRET SHARER based on a short story by Joseph Conrad. It's still too early, but this gem will be for sure among the best scores of this year. You can check the sample at YouTube below or a little suite on Soundtrack Club website http://www.soundtrack-club.net/content/ ... ts_id=6045 As a bonus the CD also features short interview with the composers as well as little selection from Guy's beautiful unused score for TSOTSI, the movie which was produced by Peter Fudakowski, who actually debuted as director with Secret Sharer. Is this score going to be available from Intrada? |

It seems like a lovely score based on the sample. My appreciation might be even greater after hearing the entire work and in context. Many people sour on modern scores quite often because their attention is focused almost exclusively on loud Hollywood blockbusters, and they miss out on the fantastic dramatic scoring that we still get these days. |
