Coming next Tuesday La-La Land is releasing 2 limited editions. Escape From L.A. (expanded) - Shirley Walker/John Carpenter - (1500 copies) (Re-release) - Flesh & Blood (expanded) - Basil Poledouris - (1200 copies) |

I was wondering when Flesh+Blood would return. The Intrada release sounds spectacular and was of course the first release of the score to be derived from flawless 24-track masters as well as treated with a fantastic mix that followed Poledouris' noted preferences, so the fast sellout of that album called for a necessary reissue. Escape from L.A. has me intrigued. I look forward to hearing samples of music that was unused in the film. |

I will definitely order Matrix - Revolutions, as the Matrix scores by Don Davis is one of the best film score trilogies to emerge in these past twenty years. I also don't own Flesh & Blood, but in the Facebook announcement La-La-Land Recordings stated about that release: "While retaining the Intrada releases running order, the new album’s producer (Ford A. Thaxton) along with the mastering engineer (James Nelson) have tweaked the sound to their liking. " Does that now mean it'll sound good in my car only, but not on my home stereo? Just asking. I might even pick up ESCAPE FROM L.A. .. don't remember the score too well. As far as The Blue Max is concerned, wonderful score, and I am happy it'll be back in print for anyone who has missed it. I already own previous releases of this score, so I don't think I need to acquire another one. |

Oh man, now I wonder if paying a good $35 for a new copy of Intrada's Flesh+Blood was worth it, now that LLL is rereleasing it. Oh well, at least I have it finally. The Blue Max however, that's one Goldsmith I do not have and will definitely think about picking that one up. |
