My favourite Paul Verhoeven movie is "Turks Fruit" (Turkish Delight), with a very beautiful score by Rogier van Otterloo. I bought the lp twice because the vinyl wear out on the first one. Luckily the cd was released in the late 80's, played it so many times, that if it was a lp I probable would have to re-buy it several times more.
Also enjoy "Soldaat van Oranje" (Soldier of Orange) very much. The main theme is strong and powerful, but the real beauty of the music is with in tracks like "Nederland kan trots zijn op zijn leger" and "De Waalsdorpervlakte". I've transferred the vinyl to cdr, to extend the listening experience for many years to come.
But the best of all is Loek Dikkers "De Vierde Man" (The 4th Man). When I saw that movie in the cinema, and listened to his music as the film began, I was totally strucked. A memory so vivid, it seems like only yesterday, and yet it's more than twenty years ago.
p.s.
The 4th Man, would be a nice club release for Varese,.. if they use the mastertracks from Milan.
