Sad news, The very talented composer Died on Jan 23 at the age of 82. I Hope more of his scores will be released in the future. Would really love to see a complete cd release of his score from the 1985 mini-series Christopher Columbus.

Christopher Columbus score is one of my favorites, La Ragazza Di Trieste, another. Rest in peace, Riz.

It's upsetting to hear about John Cacavas as well. He wrote mostly for the small screen, but his scores were big on uniqueness and always on target. His work on Kojak is among the standouts of any content in its era, and among the handful of feature films he scored exists some marvelous music. One of the true legends for sure.
