On the soundtrack collectors website they give a top 10 most popular score list according to the members that post their collection on their data base. I'm curious, How many of the following scores do you own.

1. The Empire Strikes Back - John Williams

4. Alien - Jerry Goldsmith
5. Superman - John Williams
6. Raiders of the Lost Ark - John Williams
7. E.T. - John Williams
8. Vertigo - Bernard Herrmann

10. Ben -Hur - Miklos Rozsa

Personally, I own around 1000 scores but only own four of them.

All of them, of course.

I have them all, with multiple releases in some cases. I imagine that these also largely represent many people's first soundtrack album acquisitions.

All but Vertigo and Ben Hur.

All but Jaws, Ben hur and Alien.

I own them all.

Would like to own all of them but I am happy with the six that I have:

2. Star Wars (Even More Classic)
3. Return of the Jedi (Nice love theme)
5. Superman (Epic)
6. Raiders of the Lost Ark (Heroic)
9. Jaws (Thrilling)

Would like to get my hands on a FSM Ben-Hur set. Just saw that film for the first time and was absolutely blown away by the film and it's music. I also wouldn't mind having the E.T. score either but I do have several compilation CDs that highlight much of the score's most enjoyable moments.

All of them, except VERTIGO (although I may have a suite somewhere). I've never really liked that score, for some reason (even though it is applauded by everyone else). It's kinda grating in its somewhat insistant, circular motions. I have come to appreciate a lot of Herrmann over the years -- having disliked him severely in my earlier film music days -- but there are still some that fail to engage me. VERTIGO is one of them.

All of 'em, in many many many (get it, Police Academy gag!??!) versions, and rightly so!
