Wow, got this one today. Seems to be one big, mean, menacing dragon based on those notes. Certainly fits right into the established Lord of the Rings musical musical vocabulary, even Sauron is lurking within the notes. I just had a cursory listen. |

I have the extended edition, and, while I think the digipak here is highly impractical and endangering to the CDs, it sure looks nice and even comes with snippet of interactive sheet music. |

Bit disapointed with it myself. No where near as strong as his other tolkien scores. The last hobbit was not as strong as the LOTR scores but had some great rousing moments, this one a bit bland by comparison. Just my opinion after first listen. Ya neva know, it might grow on me |
