Greetings Gentle Souls, Professor Rick Armstrong of the English Department at Kingsborough Community College of The City University of New York has a regular radio program on film music. This afternoon's program will include REMO WILLIAMS: THE ADVENTURE BEGINS... by Craig Safan. This sold-out Intrada release is a personal favorite of mine and I hope some of you will tune in to listen to his wide range of film music. You can listen online: http://www.wkrb.org/shows.html |

The host of the show wasn't exactly a film music specialist. He said only one Spielberg movie had not been composed by John Williams but he couldn't remember what movie it was. In fact there has been two movies, the first being Duel (Billy Goldenberg) and the second being The Color Purple (Quincy Jones). ![]() |

Even so, he couldn't even remember Quincy Jones' score for The Color Purple. |
