Yeah, the acoustical properties of the thumps indicate that they happened during recording and are not part of a mastering glitch or anything like that.
Maybe one of the session players moved their chair because the person next to them had bad BO.

Is it just my copy or is there a "glitch" about 7 -14 seconds into the main title? |

What do you hear? I do hear some non-musical thumps in the background that are clearly part of the recording. |

In the original soundtrack recording for OUT OF AFRICA, you can even hear a music stand tipping over.  No mastering glitch. |
