I've just reviewed this classic trilogy's Petrol Can release on Blu-ray here ...
http://www.avforums.com/movies/Mad-Max- ... movie.htmlBut it has prompted me to look back at Brian May's pulverising score for Road Warrior in its own review here ...
http://www.avforums.com/movies/The-Road ... track.htmlMad Max has been my favourite screen hero for a very, very long time. This resurgence has made me polish up by Bronze MFP badge, get my Road Warrior blonde streak back again and just simply indulge in the post apocalyptic wasteland that Mad Mel, George Miller and one helluva brave bunch of stuntmen made so damn cool.
Tom Hardy has big, sand-filled boots to fill ... but with Miller back at the wheel I expect great things from Fury Road.
Anyway, buckle-up, grab your last shotgun shell and take a nostaglic trip down the white-line nightmare to oblivion with me.
Cheers
Mad Mac Chris McEneany - see, now u know where that nickname came from.
PS. reviews for the original Mad Max score and for Maurice Jarre's simply outstanding Thunderdome entry are looming on the post-nuke horizon too.
