So Roger, if JAWS can be licensed from Universal to Intrada, does that mean E.T., Jaws II, and Dracula can as well?

For those still looking for the Kritzerland 2cd release, It's still on sale at Screen Archives website.

I know this is quite a bump for this thread, but I obtained the Kritzerland release this weekend.

I definitely prefer it to the Varese release, and it sounds great to my (untrained) ears.

This is my first Kritzerland release, and I'm impressed by this release sonically.

It is a wonderful release; I got rid of the Varese deluxe but I kept the intrada special edition for the different mix as well as the presentation; at the time, it was quite a revelation to finally get to hear those Omen'esque chants! I was just thinking about movies that have gotten both a definitive blu-ray as well as definitive score release, Poltergeist II qualifies for me.

I have the Varese Deluxe Edition, and I'm not sure what to do with it, as I consider it obsolete.

My personal policy is to try to have one version of any given score release on CD, simply to keep things simple.

I got this one on a whim, and was impressed by it. I consider it definitive.

Lets wait for next year with the 40th Anniversary of JAWS. It just might happen given the opportunity. The good news is that we have the right technology to fix the previous albums flaws. So, the OST must be compounded with it as well. Listening to it this morning makes it sound so superior with the high end fleshed out along with the inherent hiss.
