Fire & Ice is a 70 minutes long orchestral symphony (80 players) of epic proportions. The score is fully thematic, very melodic and very well structured. This very early heroic fantasy score from 1983 can easily compete with Conan or Krull from the same period. It has a grand main heroic theme, great action sequences, and a tremendous final climax. William Kraft has composed a real masterpiece here that should belong to every film scores collection in the world. Kudos to Buysoundtrax, Mark Banning and Ford A. Thaxton for putting this magical music on CD. This is easily the greatest score release of the year so far ! I’m so thrilled ! Thanks ! 1.
