Many of the early Silva CD's, as well as most of the Unicorn releases, were manufactured at a certain plant in Europe that's name I can't recall at the moment (it says the name around the inner ring of the discs). Anyway, this "bronzing" problem began cropping up years ago with these CD's in particular.

At one time Silva was offering free replacements for any of theirs that were bronzed.... I wrote to them and got replacements for both Alien and Damien Omen II that were perfectly silvered and have remained so ever since. Someone should contact Silva to see if the offer still stands.

My Alien has that gold color but I think it was always like that, but it plays fine, same with my Cassandra Crossing.

Ive never had any problems with any of my cds that I recall.
