Hey ! Nice selection ! Thank you ! But it's missing IMHO the best score from a video game in 2012, Kid Icarus Uprising from the great Yuzo Koshiro and Yasunori Mitsuda : Also truly missing is Mirror Mirror (Alan Menken) that contains a very charming beautiful score from the multi oscar winner. Many tracks could have make it to the top like "The Training" which cleverly presents all the main themes and "Dueling" which is a brillantly playful "romanced" orchestral swashbuckling cue with a nice spanish touch. But my preference goes to all the action at the end of the movie when the Mannequin and the Beast attack. It's where Alan Menken shows his great talent for heroic action, just like in the action sequences of adventure movies like Aladdin, Hercules and Tangled. |

Thanks for the suggestions. I enjoyed Mirror, Mirror quite a bit. Sorry I overlooked it. I had never heard Kid Icarus Uprising before. Not sure if I like it all that much. It's not terrible bit I think I heard better this year. Diablo III, Mist of Pandaria, Kinect Star Wars, Resistance: The Burning Skies, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and Journey are all tops for me. -Erik- |

Maybe you're just not into japanese video game music ! ^^ Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger) and Koshiro (Streets of Rage) are like semi-gods in their homeland... |
