Hello Mr. Fake and the Intrada team! The recent announcement of a new double feature CD from previously released music, Cherry 2000/House of God, got me to thinking... There are many of Basil Poledouris' scores that have not yet been released. Not even in bootleg form, to my knowledge at least. Several of these scores are probably too small to warrant a CD of their own, but would be perfect as an accompaniment to a smallish, previously released score (such as Cherry 2000, among others). It would be an amazing selling point, and would be wonderful to hear some NEW music from Poledouris exquisitely remastered by Intrada. As far as I know the following productions scored by Poledouris have never had music released on CD: American Journeys (A Circle-Vision 360° film at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom) Split Decisions Extreme Close-up Tintorera Alfred Hitchcock Presents (pilot) Congratulations, It's a Boy Three for the Road Hollywood 90028 Dolphin Misfits of Science (pilot) Island Sons (pilot) Intrigue (pilot) L.A. Takedown (pilot) Nasty Boys (pilot) Nasty Boys: "Lone Justice" If These Walls Could Talk II Just food for thought, but I for one would love to hear this stuff. All the best, |

Yeah, some pretty yummy "food for thought". Keep in mind, suitable masters for many of these may be long lost, others will have licensing challenges and so forth. But I'm all for more Basil... anytime, anywhere. If we can help make it so... all the better! --Doug |

Well, the first one is Disney and they seem to keep good track of masters, and it is from 1984. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKnUe6gLZZk It's good stuff. A multiple CD set of Disney film scores like that would be most welcomed. And we know Disney is Intrada territory..... There's also some other short films (not Disney) scored by him. |

Roger has been saying that Intrada intended to produce Disney theme parks music on CD, so it's totally feasable... |

And it will totally, job willing, be mine. Did Basil do any other Disney theme park work? |

I'll add to the request for any new (including expanded) Poledouris! My favorite modern composer after Goldsmith! Yavar |

Despite my ummm obsession w/a proper complete release of Red October.. ![]() Aguaman I didn't know about some of the scores you listed here. I need to do more homework on my favorite composer. |

I created a suggestion thread for the 80s Hitchcock series a while back. Aside from Poledouris' nice score for the pilot episode "Man from the South," other big names who turned in really good scores for the series include Thomas Newman, Craig Safan and Michel Colombier. There's also a lot of enjoyable music from Kenneth Wannberg, Micky Erbe/Maribeth Solomon and others. |
