Post subject: | PM-Question |
Not sure where to post this, so here it goes: I tried to send a PM to a specific member on this board (for the moment being let's just call him "Doug"). Unfortunately it seems that this PM has now been stuck for several days in my so called "Outbox". I guess this is similar to your Email Outbox where all the messages are stored that have not yet been sent out. So what am I doing wrong there? How can I make this PM find its way to "Doug"? ![]() Of course I might as well be misinterpreting this whole Outbox-thing and "Doug" already got my PM, but either had no time to respond to it or unfortunately had some other good reason to not respond to it. ![]() Any help in this matter would be highly appreciated! ![]() Don't want to spam "Doug" with thousands of PMs, which is why I haven't made any further attempts to send a PM to him. ![]() Edit: Could one of the reasons be, that "Doug"'s PM-Box is full? |

If the message is still in the Outbox, it simply means the recipient hasn't opened/read it yet. Once a PM has been opened/read, it will be moved from Outbox to Sent Messages. |

If the "Doug" in question is this Doug... my private work email address has changed. The link from the Forum no doubt goes to my old address. I'll talk to our webhamster about it this weekend, albeit I admit I haven't been paying oodles of attention to private messages. There never seems to be a shortage of regular email for me to read... but, still, let me check with Mark. If I throw him some extra food pellets, he usually responds pretty quickly. And, again, if it is this Doug... feel free to send your private message to our main Intrada mailbox. Jeff regularly forwards me mail and removes spam where need be. (That is, unless you're sending a really really nasty complaint... in which case, I'm glad my address has been changed.) ![]() Thanks. --Doug P.S. Also be aware my pm box used to fill up with requests from people asking for advance information or wanting to know about any special secret plans up our sleeves and whatnot. We play our cards very close to our chests... so those letters usually don't get a lot of attention. |

We sorted out routing the messages. Admittedly, as I suspected, most of them are simply requests for information about upcoming projects or possibilities. I hope people understand that time won't allow me to respond to every request wanting to know what's coming up next. Time sometimes is not my friend. --Doug |
