Intrada Soundtrack Forum

Can't quite beleive it.. Black Rain! I've been refreshing the intrada site weekly to get a copy of this. This has been one of my all time favourite scores, def in my top 10 and to have it in its entirety is quite a special thing. Anyone else been pumping for this?

I wasn't completely sure about getting this before the track listing was provided, because I like the original album well enough despite its briefness (some of this score can be a bit too grating for me). But, the inclusion of the film version of "I'll Be Holding On" swayed me to go for it.

I've been playing it all weekend and couldn't be happier to finally have this! For what it's worth, I find all of "Black Rain" to be more listenable than all of "Broken Arrow" which is loads of fun in limited doses, but a bit fatiguing all at once. Much more of an ebb and flow to "Black Rain", both film and score.

The alternate Bikes/Chase cue is wildly amusing! Ridley Scott seems to have displayed a modicum of musical taste for once in his career (MEEEEOW!) and had Zimmer take another shot at this (as opposed to retaining his temp track) but I'm glad this was included.

My favourite Zimmer score. Great to have such a comprehensive release.

When I was 13 I recorded particular bits left off the initial CD release (ie. the climatic fight scene, I loved it) from the TV with a microphone and that sound recorder program

...oh, and Shirley Walker's Airplane Muzak track on the second CD is addictive.

Would like to thank Intrada and La La Land records for this outstanding soundtrack, every note is there from the I'll Be Holding On - Main Title to the Airplane Muzak.. Alt cue's, Sugai, Steel Mill etc.. One of my all time favourite soundtracks from Zimmer and is a great compliment into my all time top 10!
