Intrada Soundtrack Forum

First of all, thanks Intrada for the wonderful work you do for the soundtrack community. It's been a while since I've visited, but I always keep a lookout for my favourites.

Here is something I hope all the Harold Faltermeyer fans will enjoy. Using only synths and samples from the mid 80s I have recreated the unreleased "Mighty Wings" instrumental cue from Top Gun. I have put a lot of effort into getting it as close as possible to the movie cue, which is actually quite hard to make out behind all the jet noise. Luckily there are some clips on youtube that has the foley and noise a bit surpressed. While not at all enjoyable for normal listening, they served nicely as reference for the arrangement, as did the vocal version that was released on the original album. This one's missing the electric guitar overdub though, because my playing would probably hurt more than contribute . I hope that some day the full original score will be released.
