Who should do the Song for SKYFALL?

I bet it will be either ADELE (the voice would be perfect) or

THE ROLLING STONES!!

I mean, the Stones have a 50th anniversary and so does Bond. P E R F E C T!

It would be one for the history books ( in the Bond books and the Stones books ;-)

and Adele can do the next one ;-)

so I think they're fairly unlikely to ever do one

UGH!, I was kinda hoping that we'd managed to side-step the Queen of funeral music, ADELE!

The problem is, there's not too many great acts around these days, and the charts themselves, are absolutely dire. If you don't like Simon Cowell manufactured crap, dreary Rock bands, Rap/R&B/Hip-Hop/Dance stuff ? (that's certainly how the U.K. Charts shape-up anyway),
then basically you're stuffed! :evil:

Singers that i've always wanted to do one, include:

ANNIE LENNOX
DAVID BOWIE
STING

To me, they're all fairly *obvious* choices to do one (and it surprises me that they haven't done one already)

None of those sadly are really "current" singers though, which is no doubt what they'll go for

All I know is that I'm sick of the songs not being a TITLE songs,
and them going for Indie Rockers like CHRIS CORNELL and JACK WHITE - two singers that I'd never even heard of,
and basically I want to kill Director Mark Forster, for pairing-up WHITE with ALICIA KEYS for a duet - since when does ROCK and R&B go together anyway ?!?!?!?!,
the single WORST Bond song EVER!

I think it's a given that it will be Adele, she almost said as much on Jonathan Ross several months ago.

Emile Sandé would be good but I'm not sure if she's "international" enough yet, though her appearances on the Olympics ceremonies have helped.

For Bond's 50th it should be none other than Dame Shirley Bassey.
As I believe a strong female vocalist does suit the Bond franchise better so i'll go for either Adele or Jessie J.
But i'm more interested in Thomas Newmans score & see how he uses that iconic theme if he does at all.
In my opinion Bond never seems to fail musically or visually so i'm looking forward to this one.

That's about the only name in contemporary pop music I'm aware of and that's because the idiotic LuvSik is played like some brainwashing tool over the music system at the place where I'm employed.

Nothing can be worse than what was used for Quantum of Solace. Talk about out of place and an unpleasant listen in its own right.

At this point, I wouldn't mind at all if a purely instrumental opening was used.
