Intrada Soundtrack Forum

I cannot praise you guys enough with this simple post. Literally you guys at Intrada rock. This year alone there have been so many great releases and re-releases that have left my head spinning (and my wallet empty). From Disney to Henry Mancini (with all due repect to other CD/Film Score venders) nobody does it better than Intrada.

Your work is so high above par that eagles fear to fly there.

Recently I purchased THE SHADOW and was blown away with the sound quality, and the care you all did with the packaging of the CD. Nicely done.

Keep up the great work and thanks for giving this old film score collector memories to last a lifetime.

Those Intrada guys are alright. As I've said before, it is the variety of what they offer and fund that I appreciate most. And they have been on pace for something like 40+ releases a year. Not bad at all.

I would like to equally thank other customers who are keeping the business alive by buying these things and partaking in a hobby that has most people I personally know rolling their eyes (perhaps rightfully so).

Yes, I would also like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Intrada for all they do in getting their great CDs out to us.

I was just listening to the 2-CD MASADA set and I just love holding this in my hand while playing it - a truly fine example of a CD soundtrack done to perfection.

Anyway, I take my hat off to you great guys at Intrada - keep up the great work!!!...

Amen. As i listened to THE SHADOW today, I thought, there is probably no other record label that has brought me more of my very favorite music, in ways I never thoight that I would hear it, than Intrada has.

It truly amazes me what must go on behind the scenes to have these fine releases delivered to my door.
I know it's a lot of hard work to produce these gems & not always to plan.
But INTRADA keeps providing & there efforts really pay off. I know that you cant please everyone, but that's what i love is that INTRADA throws a curve ball now & again to keep things fresh.

I have said this on several threads... Back in 1985, my Mom stopped by my workplace and showed me the lp release of Basil Poledouris' RED DAWN score. Since 1984, I had been "drooling" for it's release. LOVE THIS SCORE! Immediate questions came out of my mouth... Where did you get it? Do they have any left? Intrada? Who is Intrada? Of course, she had the lp saved for me at a local (and favorite) record store. After work I picked it up. I cannot even tell you how many times I played that lp.

As we near our third decade with Intrada. Wow. Time really does fly, doesn't it? My library of Intrada releases is pretty large. Granted, I do not have everything, but there is a ton of them.

My admiration and appreciation for Intrada runs deep. The time. The hoops they go through. The care and polish they give their releases is truly top notch. Grails have been released. Things we NEVER thought would happen... there it is. Intrada is astounding.

Just when you think they can't top themselves... oh, wrong... here we go.

The personal touch also matters a great deal. Doug and Roger are very active in the forum. They answer questions, let us know about new releases, inform us on policy changes and even things like FUNERAL HOME when it was in the works. Letting us know the backstory of getting it produced and that the price would be higher. To me, it doesn't matter. It is the music that counts. And, ask my Mom... something by Jerry Fielding is released... I am there. And, to have Intrada doing it... you know it will be first class.

Another personal touch is when we send an email to Intrada... it really says a lot when the head honcho, Doug, replies to you personally for the questions/comments you have sent their way.

For expansions of their previous releases... RED DAWN, SILVERADO, TOMBSTONE and the list goes on... this is wonderful. I have gotten most of them. A heartfelt thanks. I could go on... but for now...

Thank You Intrada. You have made dreams come true. And, with 2012 as any indication, you will continue to do so for a very long time to come...

There is such a love to what they do because they are fans of the music themselves, living their own dream of obtaining it in a listenable and authorized way while making it available to others by putting their time and money where their mouth and ears are. Long live Intrada and long live Mary Ann Fake who puts up with it all.

We all seem to occasionally take the current "golden age" of constant incredible releases for granted, yet it's important to pause between purchases to say thank you to people like Doug, and Lukas, and M.V. at Lalaland, and Bruce at Kritzerland, and all the rest for being such loving and devoted preservers of these many, many wonderful scores. A thread like this should be a monthly occurence. Thanks, Doug . . . and all you other fine producers who make
