I have the box set released by La La Land back in January and think it is one of the best box sets available. However im sure Harry Manfredinni scored the parts from 7-10 but these have not been released. There is however a limited version of 7 and 8 by Fred Mollin which is available. Ive listened to samples of this and don`t like it as much as the previous Harry Manfredinni ones. I own all the dvds so do know that Harry Manfredinni scored 7-10. Anyone know why these are not available? They would make a great box set vol 2 if ever released. |

Didn't Varese release the soundtrack to part 10 and some other label handled part 9? I believe both are out-of-print, but they are lengthy CDs and should be available on Amazon Marketplace and/or eBay. |

No offense to any label, but I really wish the box sets would stop for a long while. There are so many great things on the market right now, that it just seems a shame to saturate it with such high-priced items. I am also a fan of concentrating on one composition at a time, so to speak; two at most. |

For Part 7... If memory serves correct... Harry Manredini's score was edited together from previous installments with either a very small amount of original work or none at all. At the time of the movie, the tv series had already started and that show's composer, Fred Mollin, provided the original music (mostly electronic) for Part 7 that included Tina's (Lar Park Lincoln) theme. Part 8... Fred Mollin provided the music completely, with Harry Manfredini's "ki ki ki ma ma ma" making an appearance. Part 9 had a generous portion of it's score released on Edel (I think)... and Part 10 was released on Varese. Harry Manfredini had returned to the series and composed brand new scores. ***** Not sure if a Part 7 thru 10 will ever happen, but they did have some great scoring for this type of film. With that said, breaking out the LLLR box for the first 6 now... |
