In Space, no-one can hear you scream ... coz they're all listening to Marc Streitenfeld's score for Prometheus! Here we go, guys ... the film might be one of the biggest letdowns, but the score is great. http://www.avforums.com/movies/Promethe ... track.html Cheers, Chris McEneany PS. review for Intrada's Avengers on the way. |

Hang on, guys ... wait a minute! You haven't got the film in the US yet, have you? Listen, don't read the review if you haven't seen the movie. I've typically entered into huge spoiler-mode as I've gone track-by-track. Please hang-fire until you've seen it. Sorry, bad timing. Cheers Chris McEneany ![]() |

Excellent review! Thanks for posting… There may be spoilers, however there are NO surprises. The trailers essentially give, almost, everything away anyway except for the awesome special effects which must be seen to be enjoyed. I think a sequel like this relies on being an a thrill-ride of emotional and visceral experiences over logic and common sense. ![]() |

Easily the worst score and wasted opportunities of this year. I can't imagine listening to this boring, uninspired garbage ever again. |

Man....you guys are harsh! I saw the film yesterday in 3D and I loved it. As I read the lengthy and detailed review, I can see your points and they're well made but ultimately what it all boils down to is subjective realism. You decide what you like and don't like but for cryin' aloud and to say the film (and score) is complete garbage and a waste of time? Normally I'm very open to others' opinions about films because opinions are just that, opinions and they're completely subjective... but sheeesh, what were you guys expecting anyway? I saw the original film in theaters in 1979 along with each sequel I've always been interested to see which direction each filmmaker would go with the narrative of the Alien saga.. but they really haven't strayed much from the original film that Ridley Scott made in the 70's. Now he's given us something completely different to ponder after the movie besides just how gnarly each person gets killed.... which is pretty much all the original Alien film was set up to do: freak you out! On a related note, I'm always delighted that in each of the first 4 films when everyone stumbles across that first sighting of Alien salive goo on the floor, the buffet victims always gather around to ooooh and aaaaah at it. Ripley is usually standing close by and what I DON'T get is why doesn't she say, "RUN!!!!! THIS IS WHERE IT ALWAYS STARTS!!! THAT'S ALIEN JUNK!!!" Anyway.. my two cents. |

The first so called "alien" movie score that I love. I was really digging it. Gonna get the score for sure. |
