The opening moments of the main title of CROSS CREEK (Rosenman) has a phrase of music (played by the woodwinds) that I could SWEAR I've heard before. I think it was somewhere in the depths of GONE WITH THE WIND (Steiner), but I'm not sure. Does anyone recognize this? And is it maybe a folk tune from the American South? |
