FIRST: This poll is not to give unnecessary pressure to INTRADA. In no way. The idea is to maybe better see if there are enough people interested in THE LAST CHASE and are they willing to pay a premium. I do not want to upset anybody with this. The whole idea might just help a little bit. And take a look at the artwork. Wouldn't it be an awesome looking Intrada Special Collection? To bring Gil Melle's THE LAST CHASE as a CD on the market is a tricky one. Or at least a quite expensive venture. The rights to it come from the same Canadian licensors as FUNERAL HOME. The US AFM regulations do not apply and because of the much higher licensing costs, FUNERAL HOME was sold for US$ 29.99 instead of the usual 19.99. According to Roger Feigelsons statement, it cannot yet be said if it (FUNERAL HOME) will even cover its costs. He also said, that there are less Gil Melle Fans outthere than there are for Jerry Fielding. So this makes it even more difficult to think about a release of THE LAST CHASE. That might be right, but I believe/hope that there enough people willing to buy THE LAST CHASE and pay a premium for it. That said, please vote. It might even count. AND - if you do not yet have it - go and buy FUNERAL HOME. It's a gem and it was a great idea (and risk) of INTRADA to bring it to us. This needs to be supported. You only have another 4 days to do so. Then it will go OOP. |

Yes I would buy THE LAST CHASE for $ 29.99. But if Roger says that Gil Melle is'nt that very popular, I would'nt take the chance of releasing it and having it backfire on the label. ![]() |

Melle's The Last Chase is such a good score that I wouldn't be surprised if it sold quicker than Fielding's Funeral Home, irrespective of how much more popular Fielding is than Melle. More people just need to hear this score and decide if it's worthwhile based on its own merits rather than simply who the composer is. |

Make that 92.....I love the Melle' I've heard, really unsung, harmonically advanced business, and CHASE is a good one - except I always confuse it with Goldsmith's LAST RUN.... |

The first 12 "yes" voters will just agree to buy 100 copies each. Problem solved. |

I'm a great fan of Mellé's work. I'd also love to see the great score of KILLDOZER see the light on CD. It's similar Musique Concrète as ANDROMEDA STRAIN. |

I had to change my avatar. I'm on a mission here ![]() that said....Thanks for voting, but only 11 votes so far? but a 150+ views? I mean, I didn't think we will get 1200 votes (hi Roger ![]() Ok, it is not exactly a crowded place here and maybe this just needs some more time. I stay optimistic. Otherwise this Poll will probably just bury the slightest chance this Score ever had. Roger, did YOU vote? ![]() |

At the very least, I hope Borderline is selling well. It ought to. I think it is a little early to be saying that Melle isn't very popular given that he has literally only been represented a few times on CD. Using The Andromeda Strain and The Organization as a gauge as to how well The Last Chase would sell amounts to a bit of a false equivalence. Release Melle's Night Gallery, Kolchak and/or Columbo scores, and the orders will very likely quickly accelerate. |

I would support this release. As with Funeral Home I'd buy 2 (possibly 3 copies) no problem. |

I've voted YES on this poll, but there are far more worthier scores by Gil Melle out there that should be released before THE LAST CHASE. Even Gil had told me so. 1. FRANKENSTEIN: THE TRUE STORY (UNIVERSAL 2. THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR (WARNER BROS.) 3. THE SENTINEL (UNIVERSAL) 4. EMBRYO 5. WORLD WAR III 6. THE SAVAGE IS LOOSE Now, please explain what is it about this score that you like over the others I have listed above. James |
