I had a few hours to kill... Alien Race http://www.youtube.com/user/DIGITALSCREAMS Video footage was taken whilst driving around my home town of Aylesbury. Panasonic TZ7 (cheap compact) + Synths/Drum Machine. Anyone else here dabble in abit of music/film creation? Jago |

You seem to have a video format problem in your editing soft : your image is crushed by the sides and your moon looks like an egg...  TZ7 usually records video in 1,77:1 and the image should perfectly fit youtube screen if you do a proper 16/9 anamorphic export. |

 awesome...Im finding youtube to be a little hit and miss at the moment  I've been experimenting with various settings...but seem to be getting undesired results. This particular clip was 600 megs and HD...but it seems to have come out in SD. Pfff... What camera do you use? Cheers, Jago Jago |

I use all sorts of video cameras (from a simple Sony CX190 to a Canon HG10), and mainly 3D cameras now (Sony TD10 and JVC TD1). I'm crazy about video recorders. The problem might come from the output settings in your editing soft. You must keep the original caracteristics of the video taken by the TZ7. If I remember correctly, since I have used it 2 years ago : AVCHD Lite codec, 720 lines, 16/9 anamorphic, with the mts extension or mp4 (youtube likes mp4). Keep the video bitrate as high as possible (maybe around 17 mbps) |

Thanks Anakin....I'll look into that. Nice choice of cameras. Bet they work well in low level lighting. Is AVCHD Lite any good? Or are there preferable/better codecs/formats? Jago |
