I can only remember very little about a film/TV movie I saw way back in either the late 70's or sometime in the 80's. I remember thinking at the time that the music playing in the action climax was "pretty cool." The film was about a future America where resources are scarce. LEE MAJORS is driving a Formula 1 race car across country in defiance of the powers-that-be. The gov't guys recruit retired fighter pilot BERGESS MEREDITH to chase down MAJORS in a F-86 Sabre jet. At the end, MEREDITH dives his jet- kamikaze style- into a laser cannon station to save LEE MAJORS. And that's all I remember. Anyone know the name of this film or who may have written the music?? Thanks. |

The Last Chase, scored by Gil Mellé. The score would make a fantastic album. |

In the future, you can check IMDB.com (the Internet Movie Database). You can enter the actor's name in the field and select "name" from the drop down box nxt to it, then be able to search that actor's full [submitted] credits. From there it would be fairly easy to spot it. The score has never received a legal release. |
