Intrada Soundtrack Forum

Well, I honestly thought that 2010, my third year in collecting limited editions, would not be topped at Intrada. We had wonders like SpaceCamp, The Deep...I ended up buying 16 or so Intrada titles (including Patton and On The Threshold of Space, which were picked up this year). But this year, well...I couldn't get over it - title after title. Here's my Intrada year:





This is by no means the end - from this years output, I still mean to buy MASADA, STAR TREK IV, THE GREAT ESCAPE, THE BLACK HOLE, FUNERAL HOME, RAMPAGE, FRIGHT NIGHT, HOUSE ON TELEGRAPH HILL, IT, THE WRONG BOX and THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY, which, when all are sitting on my shelf, will make this my biggest Intrada year ever.

(I also got very lucky on the second hand market in 2011, and was able to add to my collection, for quite reasonable prices, JUDGMENT NIGHT, BLACK WIDOW, THE DRIVER/STAR CHAMBER, SATURN 3, Music for 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, METALSTORM, SWASHBUCKLER, BABY, THE NIGHTCOMERS, EMPEROR OF THE NORTH, GIRL IN THE RED VELVET SWING, IN HARM'S WAY and MR. MAJESTYK!)

Basically, you have given me some wonderful music this year, and given wonderful music in previous years I've finally been able to track down! (Also, Jeff provided stellar customer service when I had some items go missing in transit!)

Happy christmas to everyone at Intrada, and I can't wait to join you for all of next year's great releases.

For me INTRADA runs away with the title of BEST SOUNDTRACK LABEL OF THE YEAR for 2011.

FSM and LA LA LAND have had one of their best ever years too. I mean: THE GOLDEN CHILD? Wow.

But INTRADA knocked it out of the park this year. Totally.

And, for me ... I'm not going to say it's the best score Intrada issued in 2011, 'coz it's not ...

But the number one totally amazing "GRAIL-BUSTER" release of 2011 was THE BLACK HOLE.

It's still the most spun disc in my house.

Ordinarily this Goldsmith title would have been my top pick, but the Varese album kept me reasonably happy for a long time. It was like a delicious meal but I was only allowed to eat half. I already knew it was good, but now I can have it all!
