That's great to know. I always like to read about composer involvement in these CD album releases, especially for an album that represents a composer's early work.

It is also great to know that if you get a hold of the master elements for Volunteers, that its release will likely have meaningful involvement from Horner himself.

Indeed.

These albums are clearly for the fans since they are limited editions as opposed to what a current film with a wide release album would be, so for him to be personally involved with each one shows he certainly cares about putting together a great album to enjoy, and that's the icing on the cake, so to speak.

I'am holding off listening to the samples so i can experience the music first hand when i get the cd.
Been close to clicking the links and having a listen. I watched the dvd at Halloween so the score is still pretty fresh in my head.

Kudos for Intrada involving Jimmy in the release of his scores at the end of the day the quality of the final product will not dout be better with the composer's involvment.

I, too, respect the idea of including the composer. If I was a producer, I would most certainly try to include them on all aspects of a production, as well. Intrada really is the best label on Earth. I really don't know what I would do with myself without this label and its site. It's my first stop of the day and also my last.

Over the weekend I got my order (of Great Train Robbery and Wolfen)...

Having Wolfen is a amazing. I have been a huge fan/supporter of the movie since it's release. One of my absolute favorite movies of all time. This was the first film I had ever heard scored by James Horner. I have mentioned this so many times (sorry), but to finally have this is a dream come true. One of my all-time grails.

After listening to it a few times already in the past two days, I broke out the movie and watched it again. It has lost none of it's power. A great movie. A great score. Thanks to Intrada... Amazing.

Another awesome year with Intrada... 2012

My mother and grandmother watched the film with me last night, and during the scene when Dewey is trying to reach Whittington who was attacked, my mother says "James Horner is one scary son-of-a..." well you know.

My reaction?

"Damn right"

Got mine today along with Die Hard looking forward to breaking the shrink wrap and listenng to it later.

Once again great Job Doug, Roger, Mr.Horner and the Intrada team. This release sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday amazing quality.
Warner may not show Wolfen much love on dvd and blu ray, but they sure know how to archive and vault soundtrack elements in this case.
I suppose the master's beening vaulted away since 1981 has done them a favour since they will have barley have been handled and there quaity degraded making it all the better for us thirty years later.

Great notes in the booklet some new stuff in there that i had'nt heard about the making of the film before. Currenlty have the score playing as i type this.

Safan's website has in the News section that Intrada is releasing his rejected score.

He has three titles in the News section, the other two just came out these passed two weeks. Could this then be imminent?

It figures. I paid good money for the promo not too long ago. It often pays to wait.
