I have also the Aleph release (I love that they placed a photo of Larry 'J.R.' Hagman to the booklet despite his small role). I admit that I didn't remember much of the music when buying it, except for the march theme and the fact that it was great - it was long after I had seen the movie (and I don't have it so I can't re-watch it). As it is, I am very satisfied with the score and listen to it very often, but what you say about the cymbals is quite disappointing. I think there exists a European Warner CD of the score, which might be perhaps differently mixed ? But likely it would sound the same. |
