I never thought I'd be saying this, being a 60 year old luddite, but I was thinking about some sold out titles where it maybe wouldn't be worth repressing, like The Barbarian & The Geisha, The Enemy Below, Love Is A Many Splendoured Thing, ect. & some titles where it just wouldn't be worth pressing even 1000 copies. I love my CD's, but if it were a download or nothing, well, a download please. Has Intrada ever looked into this? But feel free to re-license any of those titles for CD (I know Love was Varese), but I don't know how the finances work out. Barbarian now goes for a bomb, but maybe another 1000 would be too many, & for all I know 500 just wouldn't work out. |

I've been wondering about this as well. I am obviously completely ignorant of the licensing issues behind digital distribution of film scores, but lossless downloads for some of the rarer out-of-print scores seems like a good idea to me. |
