There is one magnificent title we have for July that has been in the works for several years. It is one of the single most beautiful scores ever written. It has taken a long, long time to produce…because we can only work on it at “Golden Hour.”

So, my first thought is it's GREMLINS at last, since that golden hour quote
makes me think of after midnight - but the most beautiful score? Let the feeding
speculation frenzy begin!

Oh, and they're having a sale too, but I already have all the mentioned titles, so
go look for yourself ;)

A good guess stolen from someone at FSM is - DAYS OF HEAVEN (Morricone).
Certainly beautiful, and painstakingly shot over a looooong time durning 'magic
hour' (essentially, dusk), but this has already been released a couple of times,
and it's not exactly an epic 2 hour score- most if not all has been issued!

Gremlins is a real long shot, but has been rumoured to have been in the works
for years.

Ben Hur maybe? Another go at that one is in the rumor mill.

True and a good point - I won't buy Gremlins, personally until Santa is
making the rounds anyway, not ideal summertime listening ;) But I'm crazy
like that, so go figure....

'DAYS' did have more music on the old Pacific Arts LP, but not Morricone's. The Legend
CD missed Saint-Saens Carnival of the Animals, a short dialogue piece, a nice acoustic
Leo Kottke cue, and Doug Kershaw's zydeco song, which I like, but the name escapes me!
It really couldn't be this, we're all missing the mark big time as usual - then again, LK said
it has been in the works for years, not that it's a major Grail for us all. It could be something
like INSIDE DAISY CLOVER, which while nice, and a major production, wasn't exactly pushing
things like GREMLINS, 10 COMMANDMENTS off everyone's want list.

just something to think about.....
