Collectors should be cautioned that the contents of this CD are the same as the earlier release, GEORGES DELERUE - MUSIQUES DE FILMS, available previously, as an import, from Fremeaux Entertainment (FE 960). Being a Delerue completist, I ordered the new CD without giving it too much thought, and now have two copies of the same musical content. Delerue collectors who may not have the earlier one, might want to snap this one up. The content is fairly rare (I had LES CHEVAUX DU SOLEIL only on vinyl and was hoping for some new cues from this very good score.) and the music is excellent. Sony France must have come into possession of the master in a corporate buy-out and subsequently licensed it to Cinefonia. b. |

I´ve heard further futere-releases of Cinefonia will include scores by Maurice Jarre and Philippe Sarde. |

To my knowledge Cinefonia releases only albums from a particular company (the name escapes me at the moment) and the Jarre-score is most likely Vendredi ou la vie sauvage aka Robinson Crusoe and Friday, a TV-adaptation of the famous novel starring Michael York. |
