Fans of this score remain cautiously optimistic ![]() |

This is a tricky one, since I'm/was in the 'bring on the expansion' bandwagon, but.... after re-watching the somewhat underrated/overlooked and not bad movie again, I think Shire did a helluva job putting his album together. Sure there are some cues missing and some nice variations, but the nearly/over 100 minute score really flows nicely on the Bay Cities 48min. CD. Maybe I"m getting old, but after weighing under 50 mins vs. nearly 2 hours of listening - might hurt the experience. Don't get me wrong, I'll be at the head of the line for expansion, but I won't like it! ![]() Probably will have to keep the extant CD as well, since the full score probably will generously fill 2cds, no room for the album as well, unless it's 3cds, and THAT won't happen! |

PS, there is a REALLY good FSM print article on this score I think by Chris Shanleyfelt, back from 1992 (!?!?). If anyone is interested I guess I can go find which issue - it's a big double one with Maurice Jarre on the cover. It breaks out the cue by cue timings and is really well written. |

Count me in as someone else who would like to see this released. I never owned the Bay Cities CD, so even a straight reissue would be fine by me, but an expanded/complete would be even better. ![]() |

Are said tracks on the CD? I love the CD (which I was lucky enough to get for something like $17 about 9 years ago), but would certainly go for an expansion. |
