Alan Silvestri is back for a big action/adventure score with his second comic book inspired work (the first being Judge Dredd). What are you waiting in this new superhero score ? |

Yeah, Richie Rich, exactly !  Of course the powerful main theme request will be granted as Alan always provides big heroic melodic themes to his heroes. He's the last guardian of the old fashioned adventure score, so let's hope we won't be disappointed. The Rocketeer was made in another time, now producers just want loud synthesizers and electric guitar sounds all over the picture... |

Compared to JNH's "Green Lantern" and Doyle's "Thor" this one appears to be the best of the three - for this year's superhero summer scores, imo. Still, it's kind of a lackluster Silvestri score, really only springing to life in the final march cue. Much better than "G.I. Joe" and "A-Team" though. Just my opinion. Matt |
