Hi Dorian, Do you know if an expanded edition of L'AVVENTURIERO (THE ROVER, in English) is possible? The Dagored release only has about 33 minutes of score. I am not familiar with the film, so I don't know if this is the length of the complete score. I can't pinpoint a cue that would have been the finale in the film. I find the structure of this score a little different for Morricone, in that his main theme is developed and varied, showing up in various guises, in the score. A very pleasant and rewarding listen, in any case. Recently I watched the DVD of his ARENA CONCERTO. Marvellous. I am in awe of Dulce Pontes' vocals. I also liked the various suites Morricone conducted. Don't know if I agree with the DVD cover's claim that these are the original orchestrations. Sounded different from the scores I am familiar with. b. |

Thanks, Bob, for the details, looks like a really good title and I will be checking it out. Yes Giovanni appears to be a figlio (son) of Morricone, as well as is Andrea M. What a family. |
