Very interesting read, Roger. I'm glad a lot of ground has been covered in addressing these non-recorded albums from the past. I agree there's a lot of good stuff still stored in the shadows of some vaults. I'm glad Intrada is one of a few dedicated labels desperately trying to preserve the art of these beautifully-molded minds we call composers. Thanks for posting this. |

It's interesting to look at the various wants/grail lists over at FSM going back ten years. It's heartening to see just how many have since been released. Newman's The Diary Of Anne Frank comes up a bit, & still no release (& no isolated music track on the BD), I wonder if the tapes are N.G. I'd think a lot of older unreleased soundtracks maybe don't exist anymore. But we all know that by the end of this year a lot of wanted titles will be crossed off. |
