I would be interested to know what YOU think about the Prometheus release of The Cassandra Crossing. UPDATE: I'm listening to this again, and it sounds GREAT now! I can't explain it, but I wanted to retract what I said below.... the sound on this IS terrific!!!!

well, sound quality could be probably a bit better and is far from perfect.. at least as far as I remember. |

Hiya Ford! "Seem" nothing! That WAS me over at the Goldsmith board!  To set a few things right since posting this question.... The first time I listened to the Prometheus TCC, which was last night, I must admit that I listened to it on some dinky headphones(Not BAD headphones, just dinky!)! I listened to it again TODAY, but THIS time, I listened to it on my home stereo... made a LOT of difference! The sound IS very good, and that James Nelson did a bang-up job on it, that's for sure! It is indeed a tragedy, however, that the stereo masters for Cassandra appear to be lost forever.  NOW... I'm listening to 7TH VOYAGE, and WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe how INCREDIBLE IT SOUNDS!!! "The Fight With the Roc" is playing as I type this, and the sonics are, for a 50-year old recording, simply breath-taking!!! Kudos all around to the fine folks at Prometheus(Is that enough ass-kissing for one posting!?  )!

Just had to post again.... "The Duel with the Skeleton" is playing now......AMAZING!!! And I'm talking about the MONO disc!!!!!! |

I forgot to mention....the cover for The 7th Voyage of Sinbad is HYSTERICAL!!!! I'm talking about having the Cobra woman pitted against the Cyclops!!!!
