Many here long clamored for an expanded STAR TRE V: THE FINAL FRONTIER release. Now that it is a reality i am interested to know which cues were most desired. what unreleased music did you lust after 8) ?
Same goes for FIRST BLOOD.

Thanks for sharing your views!

Boy, it's hard to limit myself to a few cues with Trek V -- but I'll try! "A Tall Ship" for its wonderful take on the main theme. "The Birth," particularly the bit where Kirk tells Sybok that he's mad. And of course, the terrific developments of Sybok's theme in its reflective mode, e.g. "No Harm." The whole score is just masterful.

Those first two pieces on STAR TREK V were ones that I had wanted ever since seeing the film, and I was genuinely pissed that they weren't on the original CD release.

The Mind-Meld, Raid on Paradise, A Tall Ship, Not Alone, Plot Course, Target Practice, Approaching Nimbus III, The Birth, Cosmic Thoughts and It Exists are all cues I've wanted.

I'm amazed Goldsmith included a mundane (in context) cue like "Free Minds" on the original album yet left "A Tall Ship" and "Cosmic Thoughts" off of it.
