I love the details on the deluxe packaging -- that book especially sounds good. I hope it'll have original FSM liner notes in addition to the Christopher Palmer ones from the LP. I love the Kings of the Sun will be included. I love that both the Bernstein estate and Warner Bros. records cooperated with FSM. I love how dedicated Lukas is to getting the best-sounding discs possible for each recording, even opening up multiple sealed vintage LPs in the Bernstein collection and going with the best sounding cues from each. This is truly the best that can be done, heroic almost, and honestly tops the Goldsmith Fox Box and the most impressive single film music release of all time! Yavar |

I will be among the first with my hot little finger hitting "order" the morning it's announced- I had every blessed one of 'em back in the day and I really loved the Madame Bovary lp and Ghost and Mrs Muir- the Tiomkins, too. This sounds really great. Plus, Kings of Sun in lieu of Scorpio. |

So....a question from the ignorant. Are the original soundtracks from these films all lost, hence the reason for Elmer's re-recordings? I'd hate to plop down this cash only to have some of the scores show up a few months from now as their own individual releases from Intrada, or SAE. Knowwhutuhmean? |

I am reading about people having playback problems with the Mr. Chips set, so... maybe I won't run out and order this Bernstein set right away after all (I'll wait and see). |
