Wow! Thank you for posting this information. I couldn't have found it on the
official Varese Sarabande website by myself since my head exploded! WAA!

Love this new thread!

About this - another person sent me an e-mail in offense to the remark I made about Startracks, which I now realize in hindsight to be a daft, stupid comment, and completely unnecessary. I have deleted the offending remark, and I sincerely apologize. I shall make no further mention of Startracks, as it really is none of my business.

I accept responsibility as well as any consequences for having posted that, 100%.

While I'm very excited to finally have Family Plot, the artwork is... well, just okay. I really wish this release would have fallen into Intrada's hands; they would have used the original poster concept, I'm sure.

Incredible. Another holy grail finally preserved. Well done Varese!

I guess you'll never know that.

I made sure I got myself a copy of Pino Donaggio's HOME MOVIES as well as Maurice Jarre's TAPS before they are both history. I was also very excited to see THE KARATE KID available once again. I missed the set the first time around. As for FAMILY PLOT I'm hoping that 5000 copies will last for a few weeks! This is definitely one of Varese's best batches this year.

I find the poster art to be rather ugly.

It's all about the music on the disc, not the CD artwork, at least to me it is. Besides you can't see artwork, only spines on my shelves. ;)

I missed out on the KK box set, so I'm thrilled to be able to purchase this individual re-release

It's great to have Family Plot finally. But geez, another title where the stereo elements have gone AWOL. Heartbreaking.

This is too bad, really. Though, it does sound like Varese has done a nice mastering job with whatever they were given. I'm looking forward to it.
