In 1999 the first of several action-thrillers about swedish cop Johan Falk was made. Those movies had a score by the directors brother Bengt Nilsson. I really like his (still mostly unreleased) music.

I think I now know why I like Bengt Nilsson`s music. Today I listened to Intrada`s release of Alan Silvestri`s score to The Delta Force. When I came to "The Selections" I thought that it sounded very familiar and I have listened to this soundtrack more than a couple of times since I bought it so I thought it was because of that. However I started to think more into it.

I then came to the conclusion that what if someone else have been more or less influenced by this score. And that someone else was to my own surprise Swedish composer Bengt Nilsson and his scores to the Swedish action-thrillers about the cop Johan Falk.

So now I know why I like Nilsson`s scores, no wonder since I had heard it before in "The Selections" from Alan Silvestri`s The Delta Force.

By the way the first Johan Falk movie "Zero Tolerance" got an official soundtrack release with 15 minutes of score. Then they "released" a promo CD to the first sequel "The Bodyguards". Then they apparently released a compilation that was as a bonus to the release of the Johan Falk Trilogy DVD. Unfortunately I do not have that compilation (yet) but would love to.

Now playing: The Delta Force.
