THE CHINA SYNDROME at Intrada?

Since this'll be a dead thread pretty fast (sorry, Stefan!), I don't think that it's too out of step to mention that at one point in the production Jerry Goldsmith was mentioned by a friend of mine in Dallas as possibly scoring this movie. He had a few contacts in the business on the West Coast who mentioned it to him. This, of course was in 1978 when we were being bombarded with a new Goldsmith soundtrack every few months and were all wondering how the hell he had time to do another one! I have no idea who's idea it was to opt for no music score, director James Bridges or whomever....

I hate to pour water on this topic but there's no plan here to release a soundtrack to THE CHINA SYNDROME, neither a rejected score that may have been done nor the "silence" that now remains. Someone was making a joke.
