8mm - Mychael Danna

The film I don't like at all. The score sounds good to me. World music, oddball exotica. I hear a definite Bill Laswell influence.

Pretty damn good.

Apocalypto (James Horner) : and once again a fantastic score, beautifully orchestrated and mixed... A fascinating listening experience.

Alan Silvestri: BACK TO THE FUTURE.
Really a thrilling release of that landmark "grail" score. I have not yet listened to CD 2 with the first score Silvestri composed. I save that for a rainy day. Literally. I think it's absolutely great that was included. :-)
But holy smoke, BTTF is a classic 80s score. Well done, Mr. Silvestri and Intrada. :-)

A masterpiece in every respect/regard (?)! I could (and probably will) listen to this music from now until the day I die.

Alan Silvestri: Predator
Never had the Varese release, so I'm glad I snatched this one. Very cool score indeed.

And right now, John Williams: Jane Eyre

Simply a gorgeous early Williams score.

Awesome stuff. Even more awesome is that I didn't have to spend a single dime on it! 8) Thanks, Mr Kimmel!

Johnny Cool - Billy May

This is one of the absolute best. An all time classic and has been for years. The original 1963 United Artists stereo vinyl pressing will throw your ass against the wall when played through a Marantz stereo system.

The lyrics to The Ballad Of Johnny Cool, sung by Sammy Davis Jr. are brutal.
