Intrada soundtracks you regret not getting.

I was just curious if there were any scores that were released that you passed on and now regret doing so. I'm talking about scores that you were able to buy (meaning you had the cash) and didn't. They had the little "add to shopping cart" link ready for you to click on you said pass! For me there are two: Maurice Jarre's FIRES WITHIN and Bruce Broughton's GEORGE WASHINGTON II: THE FORGING OF A NATION.
I remember playing the samples of both scores over and over again and liking them both, and I still said no. Looking back I'm not quite sure why I passed on them, but I did. Luckily, I can still get ahold of them on the after market for a reasonable price, unlike BABY or INCHON, and I don't have those two scores simply because I didn't know about this website until they were long gone. I've been collecting film scores for most of my life and it wasn't until 2007 that I located this website because of JAWS 3-D!

Of all the limited Intrada Special Collection's and Signature Edition's I've only missed out on:

Signature Editions:
Hercules - Pino Donaggio (A friend had a spare copy for $35.)
The Explorers: A Century Of Discovery - Lee Holdridge (Got myself this one from Screen Archive for $30.)
Invaders From Mars - Christopher Young (A friend had a spare copy for $45.)

Special Collection's:
Lock Up - Bill Conti (Ebay for $69)

Lock Up was the only one I really missed the other 3 I just hesitated too long.
But thanks to modern sciences like E-bay and friendship I've corrected those mistakes.
Well I learned my lesson, havn't missed anyone since. :wink:

That darn alarm clock from my school day's still comes in handy. :mrgreen:

Only Inchon, but (sort of) for a different reason : I went off to work at 0700 hours, and when I got back home round about half-past-five in the evening it had gone! Solid gone.

I missed The Boys From Brazil and The Hindenburg while they were still in stock here, but I found a UK store with copies left last week, so I finally have those!

I missed (mainly because I didn't know Intrada existed before mid 2008):

Bring Me The Head of Alfredo Garcia
Capricorn One
Saturn 3
The Nightcomers (which I didn't know I wanted until I saw the film a few weeks ago)

Those are constant ebay lookouts. Actually, I know I can get Nightcomers from a US seller right now, but funding is tight. My other Grails of "Damn, I didn't know they were even on CD then!" are The Towering Inferno and Varese Club's 2 disc of The Fury.

Well, there's been more than a few Intrada titles I've missed for one reason or another (usually budgetary) - but no regrets. (I've come to terms a long time ago that I will never have everything I like or want.)

It was available for several weeks, as I recall. I used to wait till I had a substantial order ready to save on shipping costs, as this was before the era of the "limited release-feeding frenzy." So I didn't pay sufficient attention to the fact that the quantity was limited.

And by the time I was ready to order it was sold out!

For whatever reason you rarely see them on ebay - and if you do, they fetch top dollar.
