I think his Free Willy scores deserve a place on the list. The main theme was justifiably popular, but the scores on the whole have much more to offer, with multiple wonderful themes which he continued to develop in the sequel. Unfortunately, less than half an hour of his music was released for the first film, and less than ten minutes (!) of his music was released for the second. That score especially deserves a complete release because of that, and also because I like his use of synths better in it. His music for Free Willy was incredibly popular at one point, but now it seems nobody ever mentions it. Yavar P.S. Also sign me up for a complete release of Eidelman's Free Willy 3, assuming Varese (who released a 29 minute album) didn't buy the rights to that in perpetuity... |

I agree to Free Willy, for me his music is melodic and relaxing a lot, one of my favourites Pole scores with White Fang. |

I would love to see his scores for the Conan films, Free Willy, Hunt for Red October, and Robocop expanded. |

I'm a big fan of FLIGHT OF THE INTRUDER. Actually, all of Poledouris' military scores. We were in dialog to release a soundtrack to this one back in 1991, given we had worked with both composer and director (John Milius) before. But - alas - the Gulf war broke out, the movie tanked, and no one talked further about the project. --Doug |

I'd buy a new Red October and I really enjoyed Intruder in theaters, so I'd buy it, too. A redone Starship Troopers would be too difficult to pass up, because you always want to know more. |

It's my favorite Poledouris score too, Kuhni, which is why I would welcome a complete remastered version with great liner notes and the cues broken up individually. ![]() Yavar |

In no particular order: 1. "Conan the Barbarian" (just goes without saying) 2. "Conan the Destroyer" (because many fans love this one too; I am indifferent, so far, to it) 3. "Starship Troopers" (not a score I care for, but many Poledouris fans love it) 4. "The Touch" (since it's expensive and hard to find, since it was released overseas; a complete, rmeastered score would be most welcomed!) 5. "Defiance" (rejected score) 6. "Les Misérables" (never heard it, but it's supposed to be very good. This would also give a shot at getting Yared's rejected score out, which is also supposed to be very good) 7. "The Jungle Book" (another fan favorite, plus Basil recorded a lot of score that was cut from the film; about 80 minutes, as I recall, so there's much not heard...) 8. "The Twilight Zone" (episode scores he did for the '80's series) 9. "Breakdown" (another fan favorite, and his two rejected scores for it) 10. (couldn't come up with a tenth one) |
