Sorry guys, I did not mean this to turn into free advertising for BSX!
Especially since we are on the INTRADA Soundtrack Forum!!

Just when I thought Mr. Thaxton did not post on this board, it seems he
just signed up today so that he could plug his MUZAC. Since he is on
this board now, I guess I will have to limit my postings, since he is one of
the reasons I am not a member over at the FSM Message Board!

*Please note that when Mr. Thaxton quoted me, he did not include the part of my
comment that included, "...the almighty (they think they are) film score gods..."
Hmmm.....

Wow, I just found out that this message board has a Friend or Foes setting, similar
to the Ignore List on the FSM site. Now, I have made my reading better here!

I asked this question earlier, but no one but Roger and Mr. Thaxton responded.

Does anyone here buy these? As much complaining as there is over on the FSM board about
original tracks/cues, you would think that the only people that would buy these
online would be those customers who do not know what the real score sounds like.
I recently culled through my CDs and I found some of the old CDs that I was given not
knowing they were not the original scores/cues and I have basically now turn them into coasters.
An example is 16 Famous Film Themes - performed by the London Starlight Orchestra,
I can not believe I still have this, it is terrible!!! Rambo - First Blood II, Out Of Africa,
Killing Fields, The Untouchables, Raiders Theme and more have never sounded sooo bad!
Selling downloads like these must be helping them release the few CDs that they do release.

I'm in the camp that says any legitimate method of getting listeners in the broader market to buy a piece of music authored by the likes of Jerry Goldsmith is a good thing. Who knows what kind of monsters it'll create! My youngest daughter picked up a couple of similar downloads and subsequently asked me to get her the whole thing for real. Now if I can just get these folks at BSX to create some Bruce Broughton stuff...
