It's been discussed at FSM a little, but I'm going to produce another outcry, as some would have it. I love LLL, and I'm really happy they're achieving success, but for crying-out-loud, release 3000 copies of ID4, use the money that would have been put into licensing and manufacturing the other 2,000 units, and hire a damn genius like Joe Sikoryak. Some of these look like complete bootlegs, unfortunately.

Roger, I believe there was discussion going on at FSM regarding La-La Land's graphics design before it spilled over here. I don't think the complaints are directed primarily against Poseidon Adventure, but to their artwork choices on CD front and back covers as a whole. Personally (a few more examples of this), I find the liner notes for both Mars Attacks! and Eraser a bit difficult to read due to their text style. I think the stuff that they do looks good most of the time - though there's the odd thing every now and then where I'll question to myself, "why did they do this?" It could very well have been enforced on the label by the studio, for sure. But I wonder if anyone has actually contacted La-La Land themselves about it. |
