Hi Bob, many thanks for your input. I indeed like the samples so I'll be getting this one when I can. I am always interested in composers' first scores - they're often incredible! And we can hope that more sales of SWIMMER will more likely allow FSM to release more Columbia products. Any Elmer would be most welcomed - I have Katie Elder album on Tsuna*i CD and it's excellent, though a more complete edition would be surely good. You happened to mention my 'holy grail' of unreleased Elmer's scores, BABY THE RAIN MUST FALL. A complete edition of that one, focusing on the score not the songs would be an immediate purchase for me. Love the score & the movie. Did you know Bob the main theme from Salome is available on a Tickerta*e CD (the one which also has a complete Marco the Magnificent score) ? |

Too bad, but Lukas Kendall said that the LPs of The Sons of Katie Elder and Salome are not longer property of Columbia, so no CD release is possible. To be true there are only very few interesting titles in the Columbia catalogue, since film masters for most of their scores are lost. |
