| Post subject: | White Fang - Basil Poledouris connection with Zimmer? |
I have just finished watching a DVD set of 4 Sci-Fi movies that anyone can pick up at your local Wal-mart for $5. In this set there is a movie called LIFEPOD (1993). Has music by Mark Mancina and theme by Hans Zimmer and Mancina. When I went to Zimmer's filmography, this is not listed in it, when it is listed in Mancina's without any mention of Zimmer's theme. Movie was really not that great. Now, comes the important question, hoping someone from Intrada can fill me in with the close connection they had with Basil Poledouris. In 1991, Poledouris wrote the score to White Fang, and I have read 2 places now that Zimmer was associated with the film where he is listed as "composer: additional music", is this true? |

Basil did a score, they rejected it. Zimmer came in and did a replacemtn score along with some of his scoring buddies at that time. They rejected that as well. Rather than get a third score (or at least there's no word if they ever did) they picked and chose from Basil and Zimmer's score. My site: http://www.RejectedFilmScores.150m.com/list.html |
