I posted this credit to FSM but no definitive info so far. Another forum member posted a piece of music from the film. Is it Jerry? So far no answer from Joel.

No composer is credited. I have never seen this film which features Richard Widmark, Marilyn Monroe and Anne Bancroft. Does anyone know what JG contributed perhaps work as a copyist perhaps he went for water for Earle, Bernard and Lionel. Is this the start of the LN / JG relationship. Maybe he brought really cold water. Maybe he wrote the entire score. Does anyone know?

IIRC, there wasn't too much score in the movie, but there is a striking main title. Anne Bancroft performs several standards from the Great American songbook.

I thought I remembered reading more details on that once, but can't recall the specifics. I did a little Googling and found that the film also contains some of Alfred Newman's score to "Panic In the Streets".

I am going threw the first two biography interview videos on YouTube to see if he mentions it...
