Listening to this score now... definetely (imo) one of Broughton's best, right up there with Silverado and YSH. I own the Percepto release, but never have heard the Varese re-recording. How does it compare? Is it worth owning both? Curious to get others input on this terrific score. Matt |

I really love this score but unfortunately missed the Percepto release when I was on my leave of absence (my job tried to lay me off in 2002) and at present the CD seems to go for no less than $120, which is too much for a single CD, no matter how much I enjoy Broughton's music. At present, I have to make do with the track I have on the Erich Kunzel compilation Fantastic Journey. Hopefully one of the specialty labels will revisit this one someday. |
